Coca-Cola 100th year anniversary art bottle
In August 2015, one of Tokyo's largest department stores, Isetan Mitsukoshi, created a special event to celebrate the milestone and the 2015 introduction of the slim aluminum bottle in Japan. An "Art Slim Bottle" exhibit featured the works of more than 80 Japanese artists who designed their own take on the slim bottle. All the pieces were then auctioned off to benefit the charity Home of Art for Kids, a non-profit that supports art education in Tojoku, a region affected the by the earthquake in 2011. Merchandise featuring some of the Coca-Cola art was also available for purchase at the exhibit including shirts, mugs and tote bags.
